Lacrosse Operation
Default Lacrosse Settings are adjusted using the Game Setup menu options.
Timer Functions
START/STOP: Starts and stops the main timer.
Up/Down: Change the direction of the timer. Default direction is count down.
Edit Time: Key in the new time followed by ENTER, For tenths of a second, key in five (5) digits. For example, key in 00524 ENTER to change the clock to 0:52.4.
Reset Time: Resets the time back to the default Period Time specified in the Game Settings menu.
Intermission: Sets the timer to the intermission time defined in game setup. Use the timer START/STOP key to run the intermission timer. The intermission time is displayed on the timer and timeouts are reset. Penalty timers are stopped during intermission. After intermission, when the RESET TIME key is pressed, scoreboard timer will display the next period time, and penalty timers will resume running on the next clock start.
Start/Stop Penalty Timer: Starts and stops all penalty timers. Penalty timers are automatically started with the main timer. Press Start/Stop Penalty Timer to toggle stopping and running the Penalty Timers.
SHOT CLOCK RESET 1: Resets the shot timer to the value of default Shot Time 1 in seconds when pressed. Starts the shot timer when key is released.
SHOT CLOCK RESET 2: Resets the shot timer to the value of default Shot Time 2 in seconds when pressed. Starts the shot timer when key is released.
EDIT SHOT CLOCK: Change the value of the time displayed on the shot clock. Shot clock will continue counting down from this value when the main timer starts.
SHOT CLOCK PAUSE/RESUME: Halt and resume running the shot clock. If shot clock is paused, when Shot Clock Reset 1 or Shot Clock Reset 2 keys are released, shot clock will start.
Key Functions
Scoring
Press the Score +1 key of the team scoring a goal to add 1 to their score. If any releasable penalty timers are running for the opposing team, the console will prompt asking if those penalty timers should be deleted. Press YES to clear the releasable penalties, or CANCEL key to retain the penalties if an error was made.
The GOAL indicator for that team will also light until the next key is pressed or the timer is started.
Use the Score -1 key to decrement that team’s score by 1.
Edit Score key is used to change the score value. Use the number pad to key in the new score and press ENTER to accept the change, or CLEAR to cancel.
Period
Toggle to the next period by pressing the Period +1 key. Total number of periods is configured in the Game Setup menu.
After the last period, a ‘0’ is displayed for overtime.
Shots on Goal
Shots on Goal +1: Adds a shot on goal to the total shots for that team.
Edit S.O.G: Edit the shots on goal value.
Shots on goal counter is independent of score +1 count. If tracking S.O.G., Saves, and Score on the scoreboard, these counts all need to be set manually.
Saves
Saves +1: Adds a save to the total saves for that team. Pressing this key also clears the Goal Indicator on the scoreboard.
Edit Saves: Edit the saves value.
Time Out
Time Out -1: Remove a timeout from the team TOL count and open the Timeout Timer.
Edit Time Out: Edit the number of timeouts remaining for the Home or Guest team.
Player / Penalty Timers
Lacrosse penalty timers are set and cleared using the penalty keys in the center of the keyboard. When the intermission timer is used, penalty timers are automatically stopped. When the game timer is reset or edited after an intermission, penalty timers will restart.
New Penalty
To assess a new penalty, press the PENALTY HOME or PENALTY GUEST key to assess a penalty for each respective team.
Key in the player number who has been assessed the penalty and press ENTER.
Key in the Non-Releasable penalty time in minutes and seconds. If penalty type is releasable, key in 0. Press ENTER to accept.
Key in the Releasable penalty time in minutes and seconds. If penalty type is non-releasable, key in 0. Press ENTER to accept.
The penalty time will begin to count down immediately when the game clock is started. To stop the penalty timers from running, press the START/STOP PENALTY TIMER key. This key will also re-start the penalty timers if they have been stopped.
If a player has both releasable and non-releasable penalty time, the Non-Releasable penalty time will count down first. After the non-releasable penalty time reaches 0, the releasable penalty time will begin to count down.
Up to three player penalty timers on each team will run at once. A fourth player’s penalty timer will not start until one of the three running penalty timers expires.
Delete Penalty
To delete a penalty, press the DELETE PENALTY key for the proper team.
Use the arrow key to select the player who’s penalty has ended and press the SELECT key.
Press the ENTER key to delete the selected player’s penalty.
Edit Penalty
Editing a penalty player number or time remaining can be accomplished by using the EDIT PENALTY key for each team.
Use the arrow keys to move the pointer to the player / time to change and press the SELECT key.
The player number can then be changed by keying in the correct player number, or if player number is correct, press the ENTER key to accept and move on to setting the non-releasable penalty time.
Key in the new non-releasable penalty time and press ENTER to accept. If the time is correct, simply press ENTER to move to the releasable penalty time.
Key in the new releasable penalty time and press ENTER to accept. If the time is correct, simply press ENTER to apply the changes or CLEAR to exit without modifying the penalty timer.
